Coming to Canadian Netflix in July 2019

I might be a bit late with this list, but better late than never. So, is July going to be an awesome month for Netflix streamers in Canada? Well, it might be, but most likely if your goal is to spend a lot of time on the beach instead of in front of your screen. There simply isn’t a lot of amusing content on the list, but if you have kids, there still might be a few reasons to enjoy some July newcomers on Netflix Canada.

Take a look at the lists first, and then you can read our comments about the new content on Netflix Canada afterward. The article is divided into movies first and then comes the TV series.

New on Netflix Canada July 2019

This month the list is divided into movies and TV shows. First, look through the list of movies coming to Netflix in Canada, then read my thoughts about the movies, and then you can look through the list of TV shows coming to Netflix Canada in July. All the star marked content is Netflix original content… and yes, there is a whole lot of Netflix original content on this list. Is that good? I don’t really know… What do you think?

There are some great movies on this list, including Spiderman: Homecoming, Hall Pass, and The Blues Brothers. But, these are not movies that we could call brand new blockbuster movies, and thus most people have seen them already. I miss the days when Netflix Canada added really amazing blockbusters every month when it almost felt like they did just as good a job as HBO Now did in bringing high-quality Hollywood movies. But, they are much more about Original content now, and thus, we also see a lack of high quality mainstream movies.

If the movies coming to Canadian Netflix are boring, then the TV series are a bit better. I guess there are a lot of people who will be happy about the arrival of the final season of Orange Is the New Black. I don’t really care much about this series, but it is a real success story when it comes to Netflix original content and one of the first big-hits, so that is nice.

It is also interesting to see the arrival of Designated Survivor: 60 Days. This is a Korean story, very similar to the one we know from Designated Survivor with Kiefer Sutherland in the USA. Once again, a bomb kills the president and other officials during State of the Union in Korea, and the highest ranking person still alive is Park Moo-Jin , a former professor of Chemistry. He doesn’t want to become President at all, but once he takes on the job for 60 days, he does everything he can to catch the bad guys actually behind the attack.

On July 18th, Suits season 8 will come to Netflix in Canada. And that is not a coincidence, because on July 17th, Suits season 9 will premiere in the USA. So, if you want to get up to date and ready for Suits season 9, you can start watching Suits season 8 on Netflix in Canada on July 18th. Or, if you want to be really ready for fun, follow our instructions and watch Suits season 8 straight away, and then stream Suits season 9 on Netflix straight away on July 18th instead. Doesn’t that sound much cooler? Why wait for an entire year for the new season to get to Netflix, when you can stream Suits season 9 on Netflix immediately?

Maybe the most anticipated arrival in July on Netflix is Stranger Things 3. This is a Netflix original, meaning that you do not need to change your Netflix region to stream it.
