There are lots of error messages available on Netflix, but one of those people meet most frequently is error code M7037-1111. This is a proxy and unblocker error message, meaning that you will see this message if you try to stream Netflix content online using a VPN that is blocked by Netflix.
Since January 2016, Netflix is working overtime trying to block all the VPN providers and proxy services online. This is to keep up their copyright laws, making sure that content meant to be streamed on Netflix in Canada, only will remain available to the people of Canada. But, what can you do if you are really eager to change your Netflix region using a VPN, or simply to watch Netflix while encrypting your online movements with a VPN? Are there any VPN providers out there that will help you get rid of the error code M7037-1111 and make you able to watch the actual Netflix content instead?
How to get rid of the M7037-1111 error on Netflix?
If you want to stream Netflix and unblock Netflix in several countries, without ever seeing the M7037-1111 error message again, this is what you need to do! You should purchase a VPN subscription to either SurfsharkVPN or to NordVPN. I will explain why very soon. You might also consider ExpressVPN and IvacyVPN, but they will not help you get totally rid of the error message, even though they are able to unblock Netflix in lots of countries.
Why NordVPN and Surfshark are the best if you want to get completely rid of error message M7037-1111 on Netflix
Both NordVPN and Surfshark have implemented a SmartDNS service within their VPN service. This is possible because they run their own DNS servers that you use whenever you connect to one of their VPN servers.
Let us say that you want to watch Netflix in the Netherlands. It might be that 90% of the NordVPN servers in the country are blocked by Netflix. But, NordVPN knows exactly which servers and IP addresses work with Netflix. So, whenever you send a request towards Netflix.com (using a browser or an application), they manipulate your request to make it look as if it is coming from the IP addresses that actually work with Netflix. As a result, you will never see the M7037-1111 error message when you use NordVPN and Surfshark.
What if you connect to a server in a country in which NordVPN and Surfshark don’t work with Netflix?
That is a very logical question. What will happen if you connect to a NordVPN server in Sweden (a country in which the provider is 100% blocked by Netflix)? Well, they know that their servers are blocked, so instead of letting you watch the annoying error code, they manipulate your IP address and your request, and as a result, you will get to see the content of American Netflix instead. And that is why NordVPN and Surfshark are the best VPN providers for those who completely want to get rid of the M7017-1111 error message on Netflix.

What about other VPN providers such as ExpressVPN, IvacyVPN, and PureVPN?
If you have read through eh article so far, you probably understand the difference between NordVPN and Surfshark, compared to ExpressVPN, IvacyVPN, and PureVPN (and lots of others). The built-in DNS services make those eradicate the error code, while you will still see it frequently while using the three mentioned services. It doesn’t mean that they do not work well with Netflix, it just means that you might have to connect to several servers before you find the ones actually working with Netflix.
During a recent test, I wanted to use IvacyVPN to unblock Australian Netflix. It worked, but before I actually managed to do so, I had to connect to four different servers in Australia. With the first three servers, I saw the error code from Netflix, but as I connected to the fourth server, it started to work.
In the same way, I have used ExpressVPN to unblock Dutch Netflix. Their server in Amsterdam and Rotterdam didn’t work, but their third server got the job done.
Luckily, if you first find out which server to use, you don’t have to do a hard job every time. But, it might take some extra minutes the first time you want to use one of the mentioned VPN providers to unblock Netflix in the country you are interested in.
