A while back we wrote an article dealing with how to use HideMyAss on iPad. Since then things has gotten easier. Last week HideMyAss published their free program available on systems using iOS (iPads, iPhones, iBooks and more).
A few days after the program was published I downloaded it to an iPad (not my own, since I do not have one in my property) and tried it. It was easy to download and I just followed the instructions given along the way, and soon I was able to start the HideMyAss app for iOS systems. The client is making it much easier to connect to any HideMyAss server, because you do not have to log into your HideMyAss account and fine the needed IP addresses yourself, but the client will do the hard work for you. All you have to do is to select what server you want to use, add your username and password, and then the client will add the needed settings to your VPN properties on the iPad, and once finished, you just turn on the VPN in the settings on the iPad, and you should be able to easily connect to the server requested.
I did not try it for a long time, but my first impression was quite good. Compared to the client available on Windows computers this is still not 100%, but compared to the manual steps you had to take earlier, this is much, much better. So, if you have an iPad, iPhone or some other system with iOS and want to use the VPN services of HideMyAss, then the new program will make it much easier to get started.
