Once again, this is a tutorial that will show you how to watch HBO Max abroad. I might write a lot about Wonder Woman 1984, but whatever your motivation is, these instructions will help you unblock HBO Max outside the United States.
1. Try to visit hbomax.com
This is a good first attempt. But, if you are located outside the United States, you will most likely be welcomed by a website that looks something like this.
This is a common problem. As you visit hbomax.com, they will check your IP address. If your IP address is outside the USA, you will see this screen. You will also see this screen if you use a VPN provider that is blocked by HBO Max. In other words, if you use a VPN and get a US IP address, you might still see this error message.
2. Use a VPN that isn’t blocked by HBO Max
I will now show you three different ways to get an HBO Max account. One of them requires an Android device, another one requires an iOS device (iPhone/iPad), while the third one can be used on all devices. But, before we get that far, you will need a VPN subscription to a VPN that isn’t blocked by HBO Max.

- Redeem your gift card.
- You now have an American Google account with permanent access to Google Play Store in the USA.
- Download the HBO Max file manually to your device and install it (easy)
- Visit APKPure on your Android device and download the HBO Max application.
- Install it on your device. You might need to accept programs from unknown sources for this to be allowed.
It is important that you have to be connected to a VPN server in the USA all the time.
Now you can open your HBO Max application, create your account, and purchase a subscription using your Google account. You can pay for HBO Max with your Google account, even if the payment card connected to your Google account is registered outside the United States.

4b. Get an HBO Max subscription with an American payment card (THE BEST SOLUTION)

- Use the new Apple ID as you visit the Apple Store on your Macintosh or on your iOS device (iPhone/iPad).
