The Responder is an extremely tense TV series created by BBC in the UK. It was released in 2022, and it has received fantastic reviews both online and offline. Morgan Freeman plays the main role of a corrupt police officer. Many people will say that Morgan Freeman and his role is a good enough reason in itself to stream The Responder online. The fact that the story is good should just come as a bonus. But, how and where can you stream The Responder online?
I haven’t streamed The Responder myself (yet), but as I have been reading about it, this has now earned itself a spot on my list of TV series that I want to stream. I have read a lot of fantastic reviews of The Responder. Not only do the average viewer like the series, but the professional critics’ are extremely positive. Just take a look at the screenshot below from the Rotten Tomatoes in which the series has a 100% score based on 21 professional ratings from critics.
As you can see, the normal audience might not be as enthusiastic as the professional critics’, but one shouldn’t think too much based on 19 user ratings (as can be seen above). What about IMDb? More than 8000 people have shared their thoughts and ratings of The Responder there, and below you can see the results.
Above you can see that it has a rating of 7.4/10 on IMDb, which is similar to a 74% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It might not be the highest score, but I wouldn’t really give that too much though. I have often loved movies and TV series with scores below 50%, and I have often hated movies and TV series with high scores. The best example is La La Land which has a great score on Rotten Tomatoes, but I never even managed to finish the movie.
The question is rather about whether you like British crime series such as this one? Have you seen Line of Duty and Bodyguard? Did you like them? If the answer to the question is yes, I do believe The Responder is a TV series that you should definitely give a chance. There are only six episodes in total each lasting approximately 50 minutes, meaning that it will only take 300 minutes of your life (5 hours) if you decide to stream it all.
