If Leicester can win Premier League, then Iceland can win Euro 2016!

Before the start of this Premier League season none believed that Leicester would actually be able to win the season. People rather expected them to end up in the bottom of the league. They couldn’t have been further away from the truth.

Can Iceland win Euro 2016
Can Iceland win Euro 2016? Or maybe Albania, Hungary or Northern Ireland?

And, if Leicester could win Premier League and surprise everyone in such a why, who said that we can not experience something similar in Euro 2016? Why does it have to be Germany, Spain, Italy, England or Belgium that have to win the competition? Based on the fantastic work of Leicester it could just as well be Iceland or maybe Albania that leaves France on July 10th with a gold medal in their pocket.

Before the season few people had even heard of the players in the Leicester squad. We all knew the names of the stars in Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but a guy like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were unknown to most of us. Do you know the names of any players on the Icelandic Euro 2016 team? Or do you know any players in the Hungarian squad or maybe playing for Northern Ireland? Because in our world it seems more and more often as if the unity of the squad and the fighting spirit is just as important, if not more important, than big names and high salaries.

And that is why we look so much forward to Euro 2016. It will be a fantastic event and especially considering the fact that we believe that any team actually can win the tournament. There are of course favorites, but we hope that the world will sit surprised as the final is over on July 10th.
