VyprVPN review

VyprVPN is one of the big VPN services available on the market today, and that is why we wanted to try it to be able to include a review in our IP Address Guide. Keep on reading to find out how we liked VyprVPN.

VyprVPN reviewWhenever we write a VPN review we write a few words about the website of the provider. The VyprVPN website is very clean, and using the menu system and clicking the “Get Your Free Trial” button you easily get where you want to and find the information you are looking for.  Subscribing is easy, but you need to pick between two packages.

Selecting a package is very easy.If you want to use a VPN to get an IP address in another country, for example a Swedish IP to watch Swedish television, then the cheapest package is good enough. The standard VyprVPN subscription is therefore enough if your only goal is to stream content online, or to surf with higher security.

For those in need of as much as five simultaneous connections, and in addition the maximum high level security, the VyprVPN premium package is what is needed. But again, this is not what most people need, so think twice before you select this package.

VyprVPN prices

As mentioned earlier they have two packages available. All packages include unlimited bandwidth usage, either 3 of 5 simultaneous connections, but the Premium package also include the Chameleon protocol and VyprVPN cloud.

VyprVPN : 9,95 USD a month / or 60 USD per year
VyprVPN Premier: 12,95 USD a month / 80 USD per year

VyprVPN in use

The VyprVPN client is easy to use and GoldenFrog (the company behind VyprVPN) have VPN software available for you to download to quite a lot of systems, meaning that you can easily get VyprVPN up and running on Android systems, iOS systems, in Windows and on Macintosh computers. The program is very easy to use, and you can change between servers in different nations clicking the mouse only once or twice, so extremely easy to use. Here you can see a little screenshot showing the VyprVPN Windows program,

Where can I find VyprVPN servers?

VyprVPN is continously adding new servers to their list, so by the time you read this review new nations might be added, but at the time of writing this VyprVPN review servers could be found in the following nations:

China, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Luxembourg, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and the USA.

VyprVPN download speeds

When testing the download speeds of VyprVPN we must admit that the speeds offered and the quality of the servers were far above average compared to other VPN providers. In general their servers gave us some of the best download speeds we have ever had using VPN services, and using an Internet connection allowing download speeds of 25Mbps, we often got the same download speeds before and after connecting to the VPN. That is why VyprVPN is a perfect selection if you want to get an IP address in another country to watch a live TV show, or maybe because you do torrenting or some other work online.

VyprVPN conclusion

This is a powerful VPN service which can be warmly recommended. In addition they give you access to a high security product with good customer service. Based on all of this, we have no problem concluding that VyprVPN is one of the best VPN services available on the market.

  1. Tom says:

tried it and simply can’t agree with this review. The drops ALOT, the software is VERY quirky on a mac, says it connected (makes the sound but the login screen doesn’t change). if you close the program down completely or boot your computer without the software running at all it runs, connecting to various things like succentric.com and goldenfrog.com and lots of other calls (while the program is closed!!) You cannot terminate the program either, once its installed its running int the background which is HIGHLY suspicious, like they are using everyone’s computers as IP’s, or connection points, no wonder they have so many. When you try to ask them questions, they are met with blank stares in the live support chat and email tickets, no answers….not technical clarity anyway. I recommend staying away from them until they can paint a clearer picture of what is going on.

    • Call it whatever you want, but it is written based on experience, and if you see, it is not purely positive, especially since we over and over again write in article how we dislike the several package system of VyprVPN. However, once you have a subscription, the quality of the product is very good!
