We are getting closer to the Academy Awards and the movie that is expected to win more statues than any other movie is Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Gary Oldman, and many others. Have you seen the movie? Did you like it? Have you read about it, but you still haven’t seen it? Did you know that the movie is now on the popular streaming service named PeacockTV in the United States?
There is no better way to prepare for the Academy Awards than by watching Oppenheimer. This is the story of the scientist Robert Oppenheimer, who is considered the big brain behind the atomic bomb. This movie tells us the story of Mr. Oppenheimer but is seen from the perspective of a trial against him in which he is accused of sharing information with the Russians and being a Communist. It is a long movie, meaning you need lots of popcorn and/or interest in history to enjoy this movie which lasts for 3 hours.
I watched the first hour while exercising, and the final two hours just streaming it in a normal way. I never got to see Oppenheimer in the cinema, but at least I have seen it in time for the Academy Awards.
Would you like to stream Oppenheimer as well?
The movie isn’t on Netflix, and you cannot find it on Hulu or other popular streaming services. But, it is possible to watch Oppenheimer on PeacockTV in the United States. This is a fantastic streaming service from NBC, and I use it regularly myself. Sometimes I watch PeacockTV original series, but most of the time I use it to watch Premier League football online.
Would you like to watch Oppenheimer and maybe some Premier League football on PeacockTV? You can read a thorough article describing every step you need to make to watch PeacockTV outside the United States.
Is Oppenheimer worth watching?
It depends on who you are asking. If you want to watch an action movie or a comedy, this is not something you should watch. Those who want to watch a historical drama will find this fantastic. Most of the actors with big roles have been nominated for an Oscar, and that isn’t a coincidence. Cillian Murphy is fantastic in his role as Robert Oppenheimer, and Robert Downey Jr. is just as good playing Lewis Strauss. It was interesting, though that I forgot about the role of Robert Downey Jr,, and thus I didn’t recognize him in the movie (at first). It was only as I read later that he played the role of Lewis Strauss that I actually recognized the man I love as both Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes in this movie.
I would also add that if you have no interest in history, then this will be three heavy hours, even though the acting is great. The movie is interesting seen from the perspective of the trial, and from the perspective of the moral questions all the characters in the movie ask themselves regarding whether it is wise and morally correct to create an atomic bomb. As a result, the movie asks important questions, but these are only interesting if you enjoy such questions!
