What is a good VPN provider?

A good VPN provider has some characteristics that you can know it by:

  • They have good service, and if possible, a live chat option.
  • They have a good money back, refund, policy.
  • They have lots of IP addresses available.
  • Their servers are quick, meaning that you will not loose to much speed connecting to their servers and running all your traffic through their servers.

Of these criteria the last one is the most important of them all, but the combination of all is of course the winner.

The best VPN provider in the UK

Looking for the best VPN provider in the UK we have tested several VPN providers on their market, connecting to what they claim to be their fastest servers in the UK, and after that we have visited to check what happened to our download speed. At first testing, before connecting to the VPN provider we had a download speed of 45 Mbps.

Best in test – VPN in the UK

Based on our tests we had two big winners:

1: IPVanish
1: HideMyAss

Both these providers made us loose quite a lot of speed, but still we had so much speed left, that we with ease could do whatever online activity that we wanted to afterwards. That means testing both these providers using the SpeedTest we got downloda speeds at around 25 Mbps, which is really good!

Another popular provider named VyprVPN gave us very good results as well, with download speeds at around 20 Mbps. PureVPN however, which we often have had good experience with in the UK as well, only gave us a 3 Mbps download speed, but that might be an accident, because in general we like to use them for the purpose of for example watching UK Netflix.
