Websites blocked in ChinaAre you in China and suffering from the fact that tons of websites are blocked in the nation? Then you are not alone, but what can you do to still watch and see those websites which are blocked to users in China?

We have earlier written articles on how to get a Chinese IP address and how to enjoy Twitter in nations where it is blocked. The question asked in this article is somewhat similar, at least the solution is somewhat similar. But, before continuing with the solution, let us just mention some of the websites currently blocked in China.

Sites that are sometimes blocked in China

  • Wikipedia
  • BBC
  • CNN
  • Reddit
  • Digg
  • Technorati
  • IMDB
  • Feedly
  • Wikileaks
  • WordPress
  • Vimeo
  • Instagram
  • iTunes Store
  • HideMyAss
  • StrongVPN
  • PureVPn
  • VyprVPN

So, what can you do to bypass these blocks so that you can be able to enjoy all online content, also in China? The solution is a VPN provider and since lots of the websites of the VPN providers are blocked in China, it can be at times very hard to actually find a VPN website actually working where you can sign up at once and get started. However, based on our tests we recommend HideMyAss or VyprVPN for these purposes. Currently it seems as if HideMyAss is working and their website can be entered from China, while VyprVPN is blocked, but it seems to change from hour to hour, so try both, and hopefully at least one of them will work! When you have signed up, just download their client and connect to a server outside China, and you are ready to enjoy Facebook, Twitter, Google, Gmail, Google+ and all those other sites in China within seconds. And with all this in order you should know that you can use your VPN subscription to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and lots of TV stations worldwide, so you will for sure enjoy that subscription if you first get one!
