I should add that Avatar: The Way of Water was released just before Christmas, meaning it would probably be at the top of the list had it been released earlier. Still, Tom Cruise did great with his return in Top Gun: Maverick. The only remaining question is whether they will end the story there or if they feel forced to make a new Top Gun movie based on the success of Top Gun: Maverick.
